3 MHHS senior athletes sign national letters of intent

Three Mountain Home High School seniors signed national letters of intent on Wednesday to continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level.

Robert Dover was one of two football players honored at Dunbar Auditorium as he will go on to attend Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau.

Dover says his decision to become a Redhawk came down to the relationship he built with the coaching staff, especially outside linebackers coach Quin Jones.

Dover was an All-State performer this year for the Bombers’ defense. He finished his senior season with 82 tackles, including 30 for loss and 10 sacks.

Dover has also been a part of the basketball and track programs during his time with Mountain Home. He says the support he has received from everyone around him has been crucial to his success.

Robert is the son of Justin and Cheryl Lynn of Mountain Home.



Chris Hubbard (second from right) surrounded by family

One of Dover’s teammates on the gridiron also signed his letter of intent. Chris Hubbard will be joining the football program at Evangel University in Springfield.

Hubbard says he has also built a good relationship with the Valor’s coaching staff, particularly assistant coach Dan Swofford.

Hubbard was also a part of the All-State team as a running back. He wrapped up 2023 with 264 carries for 1,371 yards and 19 touchdowns and caught 18 passes for 144 yards and another score.

Hubbard saw major improvements from his junior year to his senior season, and he says the players and the coaching staff have been instrumental in his success.

Chris is the son of Edith Hubbard and Keith Reynolds of Mountain Home.



Brooklyn Arms (second from right) surrounded by family

The first athlete recognized on Wednesday will be moving on to play college softball next year. Brooklyn Arms signed her letter of intent with Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge.

Arms says her decision to become a Lady Eagle was assisted by some activities she had take part in at the university.
