A Flippin woman was killed and six Flippin residents injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night in Van Buren County. The Arkansas State Police identify the victim of the crash as 34-year-old Kiana Hays.Two passengers in her vehicle were injured. The two 13-year-old females were not identified in the report.
Six people were injured in the other vehicle, four of which the state police say are from Flippin. The four are identified as 28-year-old Leoel Martinez, 39-year-old Gregorio Sanchez, 32-year-old Tiberio Cruz and Felipe Martinez, whose age is unknown.
The other two injured in the second vehicle are from Quitman.
According to the state police report, the crash happened when the vehicle driven by Hays crossed the painted median and struck the front of the other vehicle.
The accident happened on U.S. Highway 65 in Choctaw which is located south of Clinton.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Conway and Little Rock.
