School officials in Wynne announced yesterday, just after 10:35 AM, it had placed its high school on soft lockdown as law enforcement officers investigated a reported threat.
The lockdown started as a result of a Snapchat post that Wynne High School officals were made aware of. The contents of the post were not released to the public. After the brief 25 minute lockdown authorities determined there was no threat to students or staff.
“After extensive collaboration with local authorities,” the school district said in a statement, “it has been determined that there is no cause for concern regarding the safety of our staff and students at our high school campus.”
