It’s been nearly a month-and-a-half since the traffic signal at Main and Sixth streets in downtown Mountain Home was damaged from a vehicle accident, and the intersection was turned into a four-way stop. It’s going to be a few more months until the stop lights get replaced as the projected completion is set for early May.

Mountain Home Planning and Engineering Director Arnold Knox says that is one of the area’s older traffic signals, and materials needed to replace it had to be specially ordered.

Knox goes on to say when the replacement project is in progress, the Mountain Home Street Department will look to keep traffic flowing without having to completely close the intersection.
