High school basketball makes up the local Wednesday schedule as district tournament play continues.
The 1A-2 District Tournament resumes at West Side High School in Greers Ferry. On the girls’ side, Viola and the host Lady Eagles tip off at 4, and Rural Special faces Shirley at 6:30. On the boys’ bracket, Timbo takes on Rural Special at 5:15, and Viola plays Shirley at 7:45.
Mountain View’s girls will be in Salem for their first game in the 3A-2 District Tournament. The Lady Yellowjackets will be paired with Tuckerman at 7.
Valley Springs will host the semifinals of the 3A-1 District Tournament. In the girls’ games, Bergman and Elkins tip off at 4, and the host Lady Tigers face Lincoln at 6:30. Bergman’s boys take on Valley Springs 5:15.
The 1A-1 East District Tournament continues at Jasper. Lead Hill plays Alpena for a doubleheader starting with the boys at 5, and the Omaha boys will be matched up with Deer at 8.
