Friends of the Library to host used book sale at BC Library

Friends of the Baxter County Library will hold their quarterly used book sale this Thursday through Saturday. The sale will include hardcover books under three dollars and paperbacks under one dollar.

Books on CD, children’s books, young adult books, western books and puzzle books will all be available. Customers can “Round-Up” their purchase as a bonus for the Library.

Friends of the Baxter County Library member Jobelle Zimmerman says volunteers have been busy preparing for the sale and also shares the importance of supporting the library.

The Book Sale will run Thursday from 8:30 until 5, Friday from 9 until 5 and Saturday from 10:00 until 1. Items will be half price Saturday morning with a two dollar bag sale starting at Noon.

Since their founding in 1980, the Friends have given over $600,000 in support of the Library. Anyone can become a member of the Friends of the Library. Membership dues are five dollars due annually and membership lasts from January to December. Dues can be paid at any meeting or at the Library Circulation Desk. Members receive a two dollar coupon to use at each quarterly book sale.
