A group looking to put education rights before Arkansas voters in November has resubmitted its ballot proposal to the Attorney General’s office for a fourth time.

For A.R. Kids representatives say that the group has asked for an expedited review of the proposal so it has time to gather the required signatures to place it on the November ballot. “We met with the staff of the Attorney General’s office to understand their concerns and to seek their input on how to achieve our goal of providing every Arkansas student with an excellent opportunity to learn and excel,” said April Reisma, President of Arkansas Education Association. “We look forward to putting this measure before voters.”

By state law, signature gathering cannot begin until the Attorney General has approved the proposal.
