The U.S. Forest Service for the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest states a prescribed burn began Sunday in the vicinity of Big Flat.
Officials state the Ozark Highlands Trail will be closed from the Moccasin Springs Trailhead the Cripple Turkey Trailhead during the duration of the burn, which is expected to last for the next several days.
