Cotter City Council to discuss resolutions allowing alcohol to be sold at events

The Cotter City Council will meet in regular session Thursday night at 6 in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

Items on the agenda include a resolution allowing one-time sale of craft beer and wine of the Cotter Trout Festival event in Big Spring Park on May 4; a resolution allowing one-time sale of craft beer and wine at FT3 Fly-fishing Film Tour Special Movie Event in Big Spring Park on May 25; a resolution for a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters 95/5% Match Grant program for a new fire truck; a resolution to approve legal service agreement for the remainder of Phase II Sewer Rehabilitation Project; and reviewing the Water and Sewer Rate Study for 2022, prepared by Arkansas Rural Water Association receive Jan. 26, as required by an ordinance to perform an annual rate study.

Information will also be given on a special election which will be held Mar. 5 for the purpose of financing $2.4 million to pay for the remaining portion Phase II Sewer Rehabilitation Project; a reading into the meeting minutes of the annual cash-flows financials for the 2023 City Municipal Funds and 2023 Water Dept. Funds which will be posted for 30 days at Cotter City Hall and US Post office on Friday; the Cotter Warrior Foundation 5K and 10K race on Apr. 13 at the Big Spring Park; upcoming event dates for the Solar Eclipse on Apr. 8, the Annual Cotter Trout Festival on May 4, the F3T Fly Fishing Film Tour on May 25 and the Cotter Fly Casting Contest on May 25 and Coffee with the mayor on Mar. 15 at Cotter Bridge Market.
