Boston Mountain Rural Health Center named finalist for Arkansas Business of the Year

Statewide publication Arkansas Business recently announced its finalists for the Arkansas Business of the Year, and the list includes a group of nonprofit health centers in the Twin Lakes Area. Boston Mountain Rural Health Center is among the finalists for Category IV (businesses with 151 to 499 employees).

Boston Mountain Rural Health Center was founded 30 years ago in Marshall and currently operates 16 health centers throughout north central and northwest Arkansas. The clinics serve those with private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid and those who are uninsured and receiving discounts depending on income.

Boston Mountain employees nearly 250 workers. They have more than 50 providers including physicians, nurse practitioners, a psychiatrist, therapists, a dentist, dental hygienists and a part-time optometrist.

In addition to Marshall, area locations include Mountain Home, Yellville, Mountain View, Harrison and Jasper. Boston Mountain also has a Searcy County School-based clinic in Marshall.
