The Mountain Home High School swim teams wrapped up their season Saturday by competing in the Class 5A State Meet in Russellville.
The Bombers finished ninth on the boys’ side with the crown going to Batesville. Ajay Reiss led Mountain Home with 23 points as he was fifth in the 50-yard freestyle and ninth in the 500-yard freestyle. Benny Vetter ended up fifth in the 200-yard freestyle and 11th in the 100-yard breaststroke, and Izaiah McKee took seventh place in the 100-yard freestyle and 11th in the 200-yard individual medley.
The Lady Bombers finished 10th in the girls’ team standings as Russellvile kept the championship trophy. Peeka Traver scored 16 points as she was third in the 100-yard freestyle and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke. Cheyla Leaming ended up 11th in the 100-yard butterfly and 13th in the 200-yard freestyle, Makaela Broad took 13th place in the individual medley and 14th in the backstroke, and Zoe Casey finished 14th in the 50-yard freestyle.
