The Lady Bombers were able to hold off a Benton comeback and post a 40-37 victory. Mountain Home had shooting struggles early on as the Lady Panthers went up 10-2. Laykin Moore hit a buzzer beater at the end of the opening quarter, and that started a run of 15 straight points for the Lady Bombers. Mountain Home went up by double digits on more than one occasion in the second half, but Benton began its comeback. Lexi Duck exploded for 11 points in the final period as she helped cut the margin to two. While the Lady Bombers struggled at the line and went 4-for-10, they were able to put their lead back to three, and the Lady Panthers’ final shot to force overtime came up short.

Moore led Mountain Home with 16 points. Duck scored 13 for Benton.

The Lady Bombers move on to the quarterfinals at 23-8. The Lady Panthers’ season ends at 17-12.
