MHPS Board of Education approves hires for three administrative roles in special meeting

Thursday night, the Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education met in special session to discuss personnel. During the meeting, the Board approved unanimously to hire Dustin Rose, current Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, to the district’s Director of Student Services. This role will also serve Guy Berry College and Career Academy Principal and Transportation Director.Current junior high assistant principal, Kristi Majors, was hired as the new Mountain Home Junior High Principal. Jason Morris, who currently serves as one of the high school assistant principals, will transfer to the assistant role at the junior high. With this change there is not a plan to replace Morris’ position and the high school will go back to having two assistant principals, instead of three.

The search to fill the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning will begin soon.
