The Mountain Home High School baseball team opened its season on Thursday with mixed results in Springdale. The Bombers started the outing by topping Fort Smith Southside 5-3. Mountain Home did not fare as well in their late game as they lost to Shiloh Christian 4-0.
Salem’s baseball team had rough outing at the Ash Flat Ball Park. The Greyhounds suffered an 11-1 defeat to Highland.
The Jasper softball team also had a tough road trip. The Lady Pirates ended up losing at Hector 23-0.
