A man from Marion County has been crowned as the new state champion auctioneer in Arkansas. Hunter Sims of Yellville won the Arkansas Auctioneer’s Association Pro Bid Calling Contest over the weekend in Hot Springs.
Sims says he got started Friday night and he advanced to the finals Saturday.

Sims, who is in his seventh year as a coach at Yellville-Summit, won a trophy and a large belt buckle as his prizes. He says his players and students at school are looking forward to seeing him wear the belt buckle.
