High school baseball and softball make up much of the local Monday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School baseball team is in Gulf Shores, Ala., for the start of the Gulf Coast Baseball Classic. The Bombers will start with the morning session as they meet Bozeman, Fla. The first pitch is scheduled for 9.
Gainesville’s baseball team will be in Clever for their opener in the ROTB Tournament. The Bulldogs face the host Bluejays at 1.
The Mountain Home softball squad is also in Gulf Shores as they begin action in the Gulf Coast Baseball Classic. The Lady Bombers will start by playing two schools from Alabama on Monday. Mountain Home takes on Saint James at 2 and Fairhope at 6.
Cotter’s softball team will be in tournament play at Cave City. The Lady Warriors play the host Cavewomen at 2.
Elsewhere on the softball schedule, Melbourne hosts Sloan-Hendrix.
