North Arkansas Electric Cooperative members experienced a brief outage Tuesday morning beginning at 5:51 after an issue with Entergy’s transmission line interrupted service to 13 NAEC substations in Baxter County.
Tori Moss, Marketing and Communications Director for NAEC, spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News Tuesday morning to discuss the cause of the outage.
Listen:
More than 14,000 members were without power for approximately 17 minutes. As a distribution electric cooperative, NAEC relies on transmission lines owned and operated by others to deliver electricity to co-op substations.
Entergy customers were also impacted by the outage.
