Paul Turner
A Viola student was able to advance to the national finals of the ELKS Hoop Shoot Contest. Paul Turner advanced after winning the state and regional free throw competitions.
Turner won the state championship for ages 12 and 13 in Hot Springs in early February. He later captured the Central Region 9 title after hitting 21 free throws out of 25 attempts.
The Hoop Shoot National Finals are scheduled for April 18 through 21 and will be held in Chicago.
