A Flippin woman has been arrested after an investigation connected her to a residential break in May 2023.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Baxter County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary along Old Arkana Road on May 28, 2023. The complainant advised deputies the victims live in California and have not been to the residence in some time, with the last they were home being around January 2023.
The complainant stated while working on the property, they discovered the detached garage appeared to be broken into. The house also showed evidence of being broken into through a backdoor which leads into the main bedroom. The complainant stated they observed pry marks near the door handle and a footprint on the outside of the door, just next to the doorknob. Just inside, they observed items laying on the bed, which included a yellow crowbar believed to be used to gain entry into the garage and home.
Deputies investigated the site where they recovered usable latent prints on several items. They also observed what appeared to be an opened present identified by the victims to contain a missing Louis Vuitton purse valued at approximately $1,000. The victim’s also stated the yellow crowbar did not belong to them.
The latent prints were searched in the Automated Fingerprint Identification System where a tentative match was found with possible suspect 24-year-old Breanna Fish of Flippin. Investigators interviewed Fish where she admitted to being a co-defendant, where she walked into the residence and broke into the garage. She stated they arrived on foot carrying what she recalled to be copper rods from the garage and two backpacks full of items, including food. Fish told investigators the co-defendant did not give her any of the items taken from the residence.
Fish was booked and released from the Baxter County Detention Center on felony charges of residential burglary, breaking or entering and theft of property over $1,000. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
