A local organization designed to raise awareness for autism, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and dyslexia is inviting the public to an event to further education in the Twin Lakes Area. The Spectrum Connection’s discussion and resource opportunity is set for April 15 at 6 p.m. in the Schliemann Center for Women’s Health.

Joseph Shipman will be the guest speaker as he shares his experience of living with autism to deepen awareness. His mother, Brigitte Shipman, and Roz Blagg represented the Spectrum Connection on a recent episode of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM. Blagg says in addition to Joseph Shipman’s speech, they’re looking to provide support for anyone with questions concerning any of the conditions.
