A former inmate in the Baxter County Detention Center is accused of throwing water on a jail matron as she was being booked. Forty-three-year-old Lisa Edmiston, already arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest, received another charge of impairing the operation of a vital public facility.

According to the incident report, a jailer heard yelling from booking area on April 4. The jailer walked over, and the matron accused Edmiston of throwing water at her, and there was water on the floor. Edmiston reportedly claimed she was shaking it, and it slipped. She continued to deny throwing the water as the jailer told she would receive an extra charge if the surveillance video proved otherwise.

The jailer rolled back the camera at the booking bench, and the video reportedly revealed the matron handing Edmiston a cup of water. As the matron turned around, Edmiston allegedly threw the water on the matron’s back.

Edmiston was released from the detention center on Saturday after posting a bond of $1,300.
