Thursday schedule includes MHHS baseball, softball making up doubleheaders at Russellville

High school baseball and softball make up much of the local Thursday schedule.

The Mountain Home varsity baseball team will be on the road to make up a 5A-West doubleheader originally scheduled for Tuesday at Russellville. The first game begins at 4:30.

Elsewhere on the varsity level, Flippin hosts Cave City, Bakersfield travels to Alton, Salem entertains Pangburn, Izard County makes the trip to Pocahontas, Melbourne is home against Mountain View, Lead Hill hosts Ozark Mountain, and Bergman faces Valley Springs at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison.

Mountain Home’s junior varsity squad will go west as they play a doubleheader with Harrison. The first game is scheduled for 5.

The Mountain Home softball team will join its baseball counterparts in Russellville as they also make up a conference doubleheader. The first game gets underway at 4:30.

In other softball, Cotter heads to Green Forest, Norfork entertains Viola, Flippin is home for a doubleheader with Valley Springs, Calico Rock travels to Shirley, Bakersfield makes the trip to Couch, Salem hosts Mountain View, Izard County entertains White County Central, Dora heads to Koshkonong, and Lead Hill is home against Ozark Mountain.
