The Mountain Home High School softball team wrapped up the week on a rough note as they went to Paragould on Friday and suffered a 6-2 defeat. Karleigh Drewry went 1-for-2 for the Lady Bombers with a walk, Kiley Horne was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI, and Daelyn Harper went 1-for-3 and drew a walk. Mountain Home falls to 10-8 on the season.
Mountain Home fared better in the junior varsity game. The J.V. Lady Bombers blanked Paragould 9-0.
In other softball, Mammoth Spring was swept in a doubleheader by Hillcrest with scores of 10-8 and 16-6, Melbourne defeated Cave City 3-1, and Mountain View fell to Walnut Ridge 12-2.
In baseball, Norfork lost to Viola 11-1, Flippin topped Ozark Mountain 19-2, and Mountain View fell to Walnut Ridge 10-0.
