The Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education will meet in regular session Thursday night at 6 in the Central Office Board Room.Before the Board hears action items, Superintendent Allyson Dewey will recognize those who have served for 30 years. In addition, there will be a first reading of handbooks and procedure manuals along with hearing the academic report, financial report, student transfer update, enrollment report and facility projects update.
In action items, the Board will hear a resolution to business with Tom Miller for mowing services; hear a request to approve $500 bonus for food service employees; a request to approve a partnership agreement for the 2023-24 school year with Kaye Hollingsworth to provide onsite the HIT Grant to students in the Kindergarten; a resolution to purchase furniture for Guy Berry College and Career Academy through a 3 year Charter Schools Program reimbursable grant through three vendors – one purchase would be for $36,379 for tables, chairs and stools, the second for $56,690 for mobile cabinets and the third in the amount of $29,902 for gelcoat equipment from Magnum Venus Products; a resolution to approved Promethean Interactive Touch Displays for math and science classrooms at the high school and junior high in the amount of $77,527; approve budget amendments for the 2023-24 school year; an a recommendation to approve the school-level improvement plans for the 2024-25 school year.
Following Board action items, a request was made by a constituent to address the Board. The Board will then have discussion, hear the Superintendent’s update and meet in executive session for personnel matters.
