Baseball and softball make up much of the local Thursday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School baseball team returns to the road for a nonconference outing with Huntsville. The varsity game begins at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.
Elsewhere, Flippin travels to Ash Flat to meet Highland, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Green Forest, Salem heads to Heber Springs, Mammoth Spring travels to Paragould for a doubleheader with Crowley’s Ridge Academy, Marshall makes the trip to Mountain View, and Harrison heads to Berryville.
The Mountain Home High School softball team also steps out of conference play as they go to Wynne. The varsity game starts at 4:30, and the junior varsity contest will follow.
In other high school softball, Cotter hosts Calico Rock, Flippin travels to Marshall, Yellville-Summit makes the trip to Brockwell to face Izard County, Viola heads to Concord, Bakersfield travels to Winona, Gainesville entertains Fordland, Salem makes the trip to Melbourne, Dora heads to Hartville, Mountain View travels to Newark to take on Cedar Ridge, Lead Hill is home against Bergman, Valley Springs heads to Huntsville, and Harrison travels to Gentry.
Mountain Home’s junior high softball team will also hit the road for a doubleheader with Tuckerman. The first game gets underway at 4:30.
