A Mountain Home man who was found to have almost 100 grams of methamphetamine in his vehicle after being pulled over for minor traffic offenses in early December 2022 appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday.
Donald Dreggors, III pled guilty to the charges filed against him and was sentenced to six years in prison. Defense attorneys had filed a suppression motion in the case but withdrew it during the plea taking process.
Dreggors was pulled over at a location along Highway 62/412 by a Mountain Home police officer. The stop was made when the officer noticed the white Chevrolet truck being driven by Dreggors had a non-working taillight and an expired license plate.
FROM BAD TO WORST
According to the probable cause affidavit, Dreggors admitted to the officer that a silver container would be found stuck between the driver’s seat and center console of the truck.
It was located where Dreggors said it would be. The six plastic bags inside the container held almost 100-grams of a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
In addition to finding the drug, a scale commonly used to weigh illegal drugs for use or sale was also located.
This is not the first time Dreggors has run afoul of the law for being involved in drug-related activity.
