Yellville-Summit girls finish 5th, boys end up tied for 13th in Heber Springs Last Chance Relays

The Yellville-Summit High School track teams wrapped up its regular season on Friday by taking part in the Heber Springs Last Chance Relays. Russellville ended up with both team titles.

The Lady Panthers finished fifth in the team standings. KJ-Keirstin Moore led Yellville-Summit as she won the 200-meter dash and was second in the 400-meter dash and tied for second in the high jump. Hannah Hayward ended up second in the triple jump, Riley Hopson took fourth place in the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs, and Fay Chism finished tied for fourth place in the pole vault. The Lady Panthers also had a team that won the 4×400-meter relay.

Yellville-Summit was tied for 13th place on the boys’ team leaderboard. The Panthers’ top individual performance was from Rafe Heap as he ended up 10th in the 400-meter dash. Yellville-Summit also had a team that took sixth place in the 4×800-meter relay.
