The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office recently received a donation to help provide new body armor to the department.
According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, county resident and current Quorum Court member Rhonda “Tink” Albright donated $5,000 to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation to provide new body armor for deputies. Body armor vests are recommended to be replaced every five years to provide the most reliable protection for law enforcement officers.
The Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc. is a domestic non-profit organization founded in 2009 to support the Sheriff’s Office. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of unpaid volunteer members from the community.
Anyone interested in donating to the foundation can mail their contribution to Baxter County Sheriff’s Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 100, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Donations are tax deductible and all funds received are used to support the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office.
