An arrest has been made following alleged threats made at Calico Rock High School. Izard County Sheriff Charley Melton says a juvenile has been arrested and is facing charges in connection with the incident following an extensive investigation. Since the person arrested is a juvenile, neither their name nor the charges filed have been released.
No details on the type of threats made have been released.
Sheriff Melton says the sheriff’s office worked diligently with the Calico Rock School District, the prosecuting attorney’s office, juvenile probation officers and juvenile court system to ensure the safety of the students and to quickly solve the case.
