22nd First Security Bank Cotter Trout festival returns this weekend

One of the largest annual events in the Twin Lakes Area is returning this weekend. The First Security Bank Cotter Trout Festival will kickoff Saturday morning at 10, with activities throughout the day and evening. Hosted by the Cotter-Gassville Chamber of Commerce, this will be the 22nd year of the festival, and visitors are expected to come from far and wide to partake in the festivities.
Chamber president Jason Nazarenko spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News and says the parade will kick things off Saturday morning.

Music by the Leslie Williams Band will follow the opening ceremonies with more music during the day by Sarah Sample and The Natural Disasters performing from 1:30 to 3:30, The Flippin Cotter Band from 4:30 to 6:30 and DJ Peace providing music and Master of Ceremonies throughout the day.

Tickets will be available for the giveaway of a 2024 Honda TRX 420 4-wheeler with a trailer and tickets can also be purchased at the main pavilion for the famous duck race.

A free fishing derby for kids will take place at the Cotter Trout Dock. There will also be free bounce houses, The Arkansas Game and Fish Mobile Aquarium giving demonstrations, a beer and wine garden and plenty of food vendors. A car show, boat exhibit and arts and craft vendors round out the day and Nazarenko shares it’s everyone coming together that makes the day so special.
