A Stone County man has been arrested on 24 felony sex related charges involving an underage female family member. Being held in the Stone County Jail is 37-year-old Bobby Ray Harris who is homeless, but whose last address was in Mountain View.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Stone County Sheriff’s Office, investigators were contacted after the victim had disclosed to a friend the abuse had been going on since she was nine-years-old. The abuse included inappropriate touching and sexual acts. If she refused, Harris got violent, but if she did what he wanted, he bought her items. The victim told investigators the contact happened multiple times a week.
Harris is facing 12 counts of rape and 12 counts of sexual assault in the second degree. His bond is set at $600,000.
