Thursday afternoon, the Mountain Home Christian Academy had to evacuate students and staff from the building due to a refrigerator motor in an empty classroom beginning to smoke.
According to Administrator Doyne Byrd, at approximately 1:45 in the afternoon, students and staff were evacuated from the building a precaution and emergency personnel responded quickly.
Byrd states the situation has been resolved and there were no further issues.
