The St. Louis Cardinals are set to begin a nine-game home stand as they continue interleague play. The Redbirds are set for a three-game series with the Boston Red Sox.

St. Louis is currently in last place in the National League Central as they trail Milwaukee by eight games with a record of 18-25. The Cardinals missed pulling off a sweep on the west coast as they fell to the Los Angeles Angels in the series finale on Wednesday.

Boston is 22-22 on the season, and they’re in fourth place in the American League East as they trail the New York Yankees by 7 1/2 games. The Red Sox were only able to win one out of four games against Tampa Bay this week.

Kyle Gibson will be on the mound for St. Louis, and Boston will go with Brayan Bello. The first pitch at Busch Stadium is scheduled for 7:15. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 6:20 with Ameren Total Access.
