Bentonville’s softball team scored one run on Friday, but it was all they needed to win a state championship. The Lady Tigers shut out Har-Ber 1-0 in the Class 6A game at Conway.

Bentonville pitcher Ryann Sanders was named the MVP after pitching a complete game, recording seven strikeouts and giving up four hits and one walk. She also went 1-for-2 at the plate and drew a walk.

Femi Donahoe led the Lady Tiger offense by going 3-for-4 with a stolen base. Kylee Wyman was 1-for-2 with a walk, and she drove in the lone run of the game on a sacrifice fly.

For the Lady Wildcats, Cloey Mauldin went 1-for-2; and Zyria Palmer, Savannah Woods and Xiomara Sanchez were each 1-for-3.

Bentonville finishes the season at 27-6. Har-Ber ends up 23-9.
