Gassville man killed, MH woman injured in motorcycle crash near Yellville

A Gassville man was killed, and a Mountain Home woman was injured following a motorcycle crash Friday morning near Yellville. Seventy-one-year-old Carl Bramblett was pronounced dead at Cox Medical Center in Branson, and 25-year-old Bobbi Sommers was transported to Baxter Health.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Bramblett was the driver of a motorcycle on Arkansas Highway 235, and Sommers was his passenger. They were near the intersection with Pangle Lane when Bramblett reportedly failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with a ditch.

The weather was cloudy, but the road was dry at the time of the 10:46 a.m. accident.
