A boil water order has been issued for part of a water system in Marion and Searcy counties. The Arkansas Department of Health has issued the boil order for a portion of the SPG Water Association following a water main leak.
The areas affected are along U.S. Highway 65 and include Baker Ford Road, South Woolum Road, North Tomahawk Road and Osbourne Road.
All affected customers are advised the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled briskly for one minute prior to use. All ice cubes should be discarded and only boiled water used for making ice.
