Last week, the Mountain Home City Council entered into an agreement for the rest of the year with the North Central Arkansas Economic Alliance to provide economic development for the city. The cost is $40,000 per year, paid in $10,000 installments each quarter with the money coming from the revenues generated from business licenses.
Mayor Hillrey Adams says in February the city declared economic development as a professional service. They put out a request for qualifications in March and heard from two companies, the local one and one from Kansas.
