4 19-year-old Baxter County residents injured in 1-vehicle accident

Four 19-year-old Baxter County residents suffered what were termed “suspected minor injuries” in a one-vehicle accident Saturday night, and the driver received multiple citations. Michael Adkins and Victoria Glenn of rural Mountain Home and Kaleah Grzyb of Mountain Home were transported to Baxter Health. No emergency transportation was indicated for Morgan Knierim of rural Norfork.

According to the crash report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Adkins was the driver of the vehicle on Tracy Ferry Road, and Knierim, Grzyb and Glenn were his passengers. Adkins was attempting to negotiate a curve, and the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, sideswiped a large tree, spun around and came to a stop facing the opposite direction.

Adkins is facing charges of refusal to submit to a chemical test (under age), minor in possession, tampering with physical evidence, open alcohol container, possession of a counterfeit driver’s license, reckless driving, fleeing on foot and driving under the influence (second offense). Damage to his vehicle from the 10 p.m. accident is estimated at $10,000.
