Until the integration is complete, Fulton County Hospital will operate under the current management agreement with Baxter Health, benefiting from its comprehensive operational oversight.

Reed says, “The unveiling of our new logo and the introduction of new shirts for our staff symbolize a fresh start and a visual representation of our growth and unity. Baxter Health is well-equipped to bring its wealth of knowledge, resources, and cutting-edge treatments to the Salem area and beyond. I am so proud of our employees for how well they are adjusting to the transition, and I have no doubt that the future is bright for Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital.”

The Fulton County Hospital was established in 1963 and has since undergone multiple expansions and enhancements to meet the growing demands of Salem and its surrounding regions. In 1968, a second emergency room was added, along with a new surgery suite. The 1970s brought the addition of an ambulance service, new bed accommodations, and an expansion for support services. And in July 2008, the hospital opened a new ER and Outpatient Procedure wing.

Sarah Oelschlaeger, RN, ER Manager at Fulton County Hospital says, “It fills my heart with so much joy and excitement to see the Baxter Health Fulton County Hospital logo come to life. I am very grateful for the leadership and management that Baxter Health has provided, and I am honored to be a part of something that is so special for our community. We look forward to better serving our patients and providing compassionate care.”
