Marion Co. emergency shelters closed 24/7; open for respite during the day

Marion County Office of Emergency Management officials state the 24/7 emergency center at the Marion County Fairgrounds have now been closed.

The fairgrounds location will be open as a respite center during the day from 8 until 6 for residents to charge mobile devices, cool down and relax as needed.

Anyone needing assistance or those who may want to volunteer should call 870-499-7567.
