Three Gainesville residents were injured, one seriously, in a single-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Ozark County. One person, 41-year-old Jessica Fireline was airlifted to a Springfield hospital with what the Missouri State Highway Patrol termed serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Destiny Fireline, was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains with moderate injuries. Another passenger, 31-year-old Cory Pool was taken by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries. Neither of the Firelines were wearing seatbelts.
According to the accident report, the crash happened when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The crash happened on Missouri State Highway W, four miles east of Pontiac at 6:05 Saturday evening.
