Preliminary information indicates a tornado also went through Baxter County during the storm activity early Sunday morning. The National Weather Service office in North Little Rock posted Monday on social media a survey team found low-end EF3 damage in Briarcliff.

The National Weather Service released the information less than 24 hours after they finished their survey of damage in Boone and Marion counties and confirmed it was a low-end EF3 tornado claiming four lives and injuring at least one in that area. Sunday’s storms also claimed the life of 73-year-old Patricia Anne Sontag and injured 17 others in Baxter County.

Additional details about the Baxter County tornado track are expected in the coming days as surveys continue.
