The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team was dominant in its season opener Tuesday at Cooper Park. The Lockeroom shut out Ava 15-0.
Maddex Chism picked up the win on the mound. Easton Carter led the Mountain Home offense by going 2-for-3 and driving in three runs, and Lincoln Sherry was 1-for-2 with three RBIs.
The Lockeroom starts the year at 1-0, and they’ll be in Fort Smith on Friday to play the host team of the Katzer Tournament.
