NAEC estimates $4 million in damage; linemen focus on heaviest hit areas Thursday

Early estimates from North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC) is placing damages caused from Sunday’s tornadoes at $4 million across the co-op’s service area.

KTLO’s Sammy Raycraft spoke NAEC CEO Mel Coleman Thursday morning and Coleman emphasized that these estimates are preliminary but that this is the largest disaster the co-op has faced since the 2009 ice storm. Coleman also talks about continued progress with many members coming back online Wednesday and where crews will be focusing Thursday as restoration efforts continue.
