Arkansas State Senator Scott Flippo spoke with KTLO’s Heather Loftis Thursday morning to clarify the confusion that arose from a release sent from Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’s office Wednesday evening, which discussed her request to FEMA for a Major Disaster Declaration from Sunday’s tornado damage. The confusion came about when the counties of Benton, Marion and Boone where listed but no mention of Baxter County or its residents.
Flippo states that as FEMA will begin touring Baxter County Thursday and the Governor’s office will then have the information needed to include Baxter County in the declaration request.
