A federal declaration from the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been approved by President Joe Biden for Marion County following last weekend’s storms. FEMA representatives will be in the area starting this weekend. In addition, QR codes are available below to set up an account and get the application started.
Supplies available include food, water, clothing, cleanup kits, rakes, trash bags, totes and heavy-duty boxes. Items needed include paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates and plastic ware.
Items can be delivered to those in need if they are not able to go to the Marion County Fairgrounds Community Building in Summit. For assistance, contact the call center at 870-449-7567.
A 24-hour shelter is available for those displaced if requested. The shelter is located at the Community Building. This center is also available daily from 9 to 5 for as long as needed.
Boone County is another portion of north central Arkansas whose residents may be eligible for disaster assistance. Benton County has also received the FEMA federal declaration.
