A Baxter County teenager suffered what were termed suspected minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday evening. The 16-year-old female from the Old Joe area was transported by ambulance to Baxter Health.
According to the crash report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the teen was was traveling on Baxter County Road 213 near the Izard County line when the vehicle lost traction. The vehicle reportedly traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The vehicle sustained severe damage to the left portion of its front end and the driver’s side. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
The teen was charged with driving under the influence following the 8:55 p.m. accident.
