The City of Mountain Home will begin their city wide storm debris cleanup Monday morning. Residents will need to place their storm debris near the curb, out of the ditches, so city crews will have easy access for removal.

Mayor Hillrey Adams spoke with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News to share details on how the city is planning to execute the cleanup.

Adams says they hope to make one sweep through town, similar to snow removal days.

If a resident misses the pickup through their area, the Mayor asks residents to contact the city to let them know that where they are located. Several departments will be diverting duties Monday to assist the road crew with cleanup efforts.

The Mayor wants to remind residents this is strictly a vegetation pickup, no other items will be picked up.

Now that disaster declarations have been made by the state government the city is looking into hiring contractors at a later date to help residents with the removal of other storm debris that is not tree and brush related.

Mayor Adams warns to make sure you are hiring licensed and bonded contractors and to check with the city if you have questions.
