Hodgson is coming off his first season at the helm at Arkansas State. The Red Wolves finished the campaign at 20-17 and ended up as the runners-up of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and semifinalists in the College Basketball Invitational. The team showed a lot of improvement from the start of the season to the end, and Hodgson says it proved they had a good group that wanted to win.

In addition to eight returning players, A-State will have a handful of players coming to Jonesboro after entering the transfer portal from other schools, and they have one of the best recruiting classes in program history. Incoming freshman Josh Hill of Marietta, Ga., is the highest-ranked recruit to ever join the Red Wolves and the first top-100 signee in school history. Hodgson says he and his staff are excited about the future at Arkansas State.

A-State head volleyball coach Brian Gerwig was also among those who made the trip to Mountain Home on Friday. In a future report, Gerwig will talk about how he and his staff are looking to the future of the program.
