The Mountain Home Charity Golf Classic began its two-day run Saturday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club with two teams tied for the lead.
Andrew Gillespie, Lance Coffman and Jim Wood are knotted up at the top of the Championship Flight with Rickey Jones, Zachary Thompson and Brennan Sharpe after both teams shot a 13-under-par 59. Chris and Joel Hudson and Randy Lunceford are third at one stroke back.
Eight teams shot a seven-under-par 65 to be tied for first in the A Flight. The teams include Clay Maxey, Bob Crider and Ben Elliott; Tyler Woods, Mike Culley and Eddie Helmert; Nick and Jack Coleman and Tommy Strickland; Gregory and Dylan Massie and Ian Ellison; Wayne Bryant and Roy and Jason Hobbs; Eric Knight, Chris Bradley and Erik Tuft; Paul and Phil Peck and Scott Symons; and Joey Sample, Kirk Brown and Geoffrey Smith.
Kristian Ferguson, Larry Wilhite and Cory Patton are tied with Jim Maycunich, Eli Barrow and James Fiscus for the B Flight lead after both teams shot a four-under-par 68. Brad Heinsohn, DJ Butterfield and Seth Sherrill are knotted up with Eric Lunnen, Chris Webb and Tom Czanstkowski as both teams are one stroke back.
Five teams are at even-par and tied for the lead in the C Flight. The teams include Ron Peterson, Donn Berkeland and Greg Brandt; Steven and Brian Smith and Travis Sullivan; Hunter Thorpe, Chance Gregory and Cole Barrow; Bill Cramton, Shannon Beard and Ron Houk; and Patrick Poulsen, Craig Thoren and James Crowder.
Sunday’s final round tees off at 7:30.
